Liu Junjun currently serves as the deputy chairman of Building Fire Engineering Technical Subcommittee of National Fire Protection Standardization Technical Committee. Liu has headed or participated in upward of 40 programs above the ministerial or provincial levels, which are supported by the grants from the National Sci-Tech Support Plan during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Eleventh Five-Year Plan Periods, the National Key Technologies R&D Program of China during the Ninth Five-Year Plan and Eighth Five-Year Plan Periods or the National 973 Program. He worked as the leader of the research subject of the R&D on Coordinated and Efficient Technology and New Products for Fire Spread Control of the National Key R&D Program during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan. Additionally, he has acquired 18 patents and 2 software copyrights.
On top of this, Liu has won 1 third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 5 second prizes and 4 third prizes of ministerial or provincial science and technology awards, as well as 1 second prize and 2 third prizes of the China Fire Protection Association (CFPA) Technology Innovation Award. In 2008, he was awarded the title of Advanced Individual Enhancing the Police with Technology by the former Fire Department of MPS, and was listed in the 11th batch of Sichuan excellent experts that made great contributions in 2012. Furthermore, he received the ministerial allowance from the Ministry of Public Security in 2014 and the special allowance of the State Council in 2016.
